Magic general manager Otis Smith said in an interview on Monday that he doesn't feel funny tweaking his roster just weeks after a trip to the NBA Finals.

"I don't think I'm in any different position that I was in last year or the year before," Smith told the media. "I think anytime that you're in the summer in the offseason you're trying your team better to have an opportunity to win a champions. To say we weren't thinking the same thing last year is kind of crazy because we were."

Smith also put to rest the belief that he is working under financial constraints.

"Honestly I can spend as much as I want, so lets throw that out right now," the general manager said.

When asked about Glenn "Big Baby" Davis, Smith denied that the Magic had any interest.
